My 寄居蟹 is live with my 巴西turtle and useing the normal water (without salt ) , and feed it with the same food of my turtle , also i but some rock in the 飼養箱 . Is the crab realy need to live with sand or it cant live with turtle , cause sometime my turtle eat the crab`s food , so can anyone of you can answer my question ? thanks alot !

In my opinion, I think that land hermit crab (陸寄居蟹)should not be fed with turtle. As the environment living turtle (巴西龜)and land hermit crab are so different.

Turtle(巴西龜): The case of this species of turtle should be half in water and half using small rock or gravel as land. They are not land turtle, they need deep water and they are not vegetarian, they will eat fish ,shrimp etc. They need sun light and do some sunbathing so that their shell will become strong.

But land hermit crab (陸寄居蟹)DO NOT need direct sun light or they will die because of overheating. They need water but NOT a deep water , they need water dish wirh fresh water. Most importanly , it is the best way if we can provide salt water to them as they (especially the larger crabs that live in the area near shore and used in drinking sea water in nature for long years). And the setting up of their case is totally different with turtle (巴西龜), land hermit crab need substrates of sand (DO NOT use sand to feed turtle (巴西龜) as they will eat it.) and they eat variety of foods include fruit , vegetable and also meat etc.

So, the setting up of these 2 kinds of pets is totally different. They should be fed separately.

陸寄居蟹適宜複數飼養. 因為牠們屬群居動物.
初飼養者可以飼養兩隻和飼養細小個體, 不適宜飼養過多.

其實其內容主要是討論因為陸寄居蟹和巴西龜的生活習性和居住環境,所需也不同, 所以不應把這兩種動物飼養在一起.

巴西龜是水陸兩棲動物, 飼養時需要一邊為陸地, 一邊為較淺水. 而且不應該利用沙子來飼養. 另外, 巴西龜和龜類需要太陽照射或太陽燈, 便其甲殼健康. 而且食物方面, 一般巴西龜會吃龜飼料, 活魚, 活蝦等等. 這些都和陸寄居蟹的飼養方法不同.

其实寄居蟹和巴西龟养在一起寄居蟹不会有危险吗？龟类都是杂食的吧，我也有养龟类，发觉它们满凶的
