中文名

藍紫陸寄居蟹、深紫陸寄居蟹(此名稱是本人按照日文原意「コムラサキ」是深紫色/濃紫色的意思所譯，非學名)。

*日文名為コムラサキオカヤドカリ，被日本環境省列為「準絶滅惧種(NT)」

體型

前甲長可達20mm。

分佈

從印度洋至太平洋、泰國、馬來西亞、菲律賓、印度、印尼、台灣、日本(小笠原諸島)等等。

棲息環境

主要棲息於內灣或河口域。經常於內灣的紅樹林附近出沒。

幼體變態

四期蚤狀幼體。

形態

成體
體色呈淡紫色、暗紫色、深紫色、墨綠色。

眼柄
眼柄呈扁平四方形，成體整體呈黑色。幼體整體呈橙紅色。

*第二觸角根部呈藍色或橙褐色。

觸角
第二觸角的觸角鱗片不可動，與柄部第二節互相隔合。

第一觸角呈紅色，有些個體呈深紅色。

螯腳
左螯腳比右螯腳大。左螯腳靠近背側外表面沒有齒狀的斜向顆粒列。

左右螯腳內側皆有剛毛。

左螯腳輪廓呈梯形，掌部下緣的中間部呈直線狀或凹陷灣曲狀，下緣後部呈葉狀強力突出。左螯腳可動指和不動指呈紫色，掌部下半部光滑，著有藍色色調的黑色斑紋。

胸足
胸足前節比較寬碩。左第三胸足的前節內緣完全向內強力突出，內側面顯著凹陷。

左第三胸足前節的表面與背面具有一條很小和不明顯的隆起稜(B)。

腹部
腹部略修長。

雄性生殖器
雄性個體在第五節步足基節處沒有雄性管的構造。

幼體
體色整體呈紅褐色，眼柄底部帶有黑褐色斑紋，隨著成長體色漸漸變成深紫色。
